The Leo Full Moon (20 degrees) is exact at 11:33pm PST on Saturday February 8th. This highlights the polarity between Aquarius (where the Sun is), and Leo (where the Moon is). Aquarius, for all its friendliness, can get serious. Too much future-scheming leads to living in the head. Ideas are important, but if we aren’t present, in touch with our senses, and able to experience the pleasures of life, then what’s the point? Leo is the remedy: it reminds us of fun, joy, embodiment, and play.

And while this year’s churning transits continue in the background, this lunation is unaspected to all of that, meaning: we get a break. This weekend may offer a reprieve from the confrontation with the shadow, the hard-work, and deep transformation that we are all undergoing. So in the name of taking a break, I’m sharing with you a little nugget from my last year’s Leo Full Moon blog:

“Leo, ultimately, signifies the journey of the soul, through creative pursuits, and erotic adventure; learning through its many mistakes and inadvertent woundings of others, arriving eventually at its source, the wellspring of creative/erotic energy.
